Fault networks and scaling properties of deformation accumulation (B01)

Subject Area Mathematics
Palaeontology
Term from 2014 to 2022
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 235221301

Project Description

Since the understanding of the mechanics of geological fault networks based on natural observations alone remains severly data-limited, this project is intended to combine mathematical modelling and numerical analysis with geophysical insight to develop the tools for advanced simulations of single- and multiscale fault networks, cross-validated and motivated by experimental and natural observations.
