Project Description

In the first period of the actual project an energy harvesting system consisting of a bistable piezo beam with magnets was considered. Fundamental questions were adressed with respect to the influence of the order of discretization, the stochastic excitation, the calculation of probability density functions with solution of the corresponding Fokker-Planck equation and experimental investigations were perfomed. Based on these results this second project part will adress refined modeling of the magnet forces and the influence of refined ansatz functions in the discretization with comparison with experimental results. The resulting system equations will be investigated on their behavior in the cases of harmonic and stochastic excitation.
