Predictive somatosensory processing during voluntary movements (A04)

Subject Area General, Cognitive and Mathematical Psychology
Term since 2014
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 222641018

Project Description

Project A04 investigates how sensorimotor predictions regulate tactile sensitivity and alter movement kinematics. We will examine voluntary movements of increasing complexity that pose different demands on predictive and sensory feedback processing: from bimanual grasping, human-human and human-robot interactions, to whole-body movements. This will be complemented by examining predictive control in special cohorts (children, older adults, and schizophrenia patients) who may differ in their reliance on predictive signals.
