Final Report Abstract

The majority of the proposed topics have been addressed during the project. Specifically, the studies have demonstrated: • the coating of EG on SiC with a protective MgO layer without diminishing its electronic properties; • the efficient generation of acousto-electric current densities up to 2.5 × 10^−3 A/m in EG on SiC covered by a piezoelectric ZnO layer; • SAW propagation with wavelengths down to 400 nm along ZnO/HSQ/SiC multilayers for the modulation of the EG electronic band structure by SAW strain fields.
