Ultrafast Spectroscopy and Control of Excitations Across Internal Interfaces (B02)

Subject Area Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term since 2013
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 223848855

Project Description

This project shifts its focus to controlling excitations at and across device-relevant geometries such as lateral interfaces. Therefore, non-local ultrafast experiments combining optical current injection, THz field acceleration and various photonic diagnostics will be combined in a tailored imaging setup. Here, time-resolved spectroscopic techniques are envisioned to reveal differences between ballistic and diffusive motion or electron vs. exciton motion in selected model substrate-induced lateral heterostuctures featuring 2D materials.
