Project Details
Organic Molecular Building Blocks for the Synthesis of Internal Interfaces (A08)
Subject Area
Organic Molecular Chemistry - Synthesis and Characterisation
Term
since 2013
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 223848855
The central aim of project A8 is the synthesis of organic molecules, which are employed for building organic/inorganic internal interfaces. In one part of the project, novel fluoro- and cyano-substituted pentacene and DNTT derivatives will be synthesized for interfaces formed via aromatic -interactions. In a second part, well-ordered, covalently bound organic multilayers will be synthesised on silicon employing substituted cyclooctynes for click chemistry reactions. The structural and (opto-)electronic properties of the respective interfaces will be investigated.
