Chromatin Proteomics (Z03)

Subject Area General Genetics and Functional Genome Biology
Term from 2013 to 2025
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 213249687

Project Description

The chromatin bound proteome is a major contributor to the establishment and maintenance of epigenetic information. Easy access to a state-of-the art proteomics facility and the corresponding expertise is therefore of key importance for many projects of the CRC1064. The core project Z03 provides expertise and equipment for the analysis of the chromatin bound proteome and the investigation of posttranslational histone modifications. At the same time, we plan to further establish proximitybased biotinylation as a new method to investigate the protein environment of chromatinbound proteins.
