Project Details
Robust absorption-spectroscopic diagnostics for biomass combustion: measurement methods for gas species, gas temperatures and particle loading (B05)
Subject Area
Analytical Chemistry
Term
since 2013
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 215035359
For the measurement of gas species mole fractions, gas temperatures and gas residence times in the oxy-fuel combustion environment, novel spectrometers based on absorption spectroscopic methods will be further developed. These highly sensitive, selective and sampling free techniques will be applied on a laboratory scale burner (flow reactor) as well as technical combustion facilities to investigate the fundamental spectroscopic behavior, to deliver validation data for combustion models and to develop control strategies for oxy-fuel combustion processes.
