Determination of excess-sorptive kinetics and equilibrium loadings of oxy-fuel gas compo-nents on solid fuels (A06)

Subject Area Energy Process Engineering
Term since 2013
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 215035359

Project Description

Project A6 investigates diffusion effects and pore structure evolution relevant for the conversion of biomass. The pore distribution dependent sorption model developed in FP2 will be validated for bi-omass chars and model parameters will be generalized. A model describing the pore surface evolu-tion will be developed. Extensive sorption measurements using advanced and highly specialized magnetic-suspension based equipment will extend the experimental basis for the model develop-ment. Together, the new models will allow for an experimentally verified consideration of diffusion flows in carbon conversion models.
