Project Details
Chronology, site concentrations, cultural differentiation, and mobility patterns as basis for comparing human-environment interaction (D04* (D05))
Subject Area
Prehistory and World Archaeology
Term
from 2013 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 57444011
Project D4 will focus on the question, as to whether the presence or absence of humans and their behaviour in Central Europe from 15,000 to 4,000 BP can be interpreted as a response to natural or cultural environments by integrating data, methods and results from various former CRC-projects and from literature. The project’s guiding principles, adaptive behavior and human agency, are focused on in order to investigate human-environment interaction employing multi-proxy geo-archaeological data. Close collaboration will be with projects B3, D5, E1 and E6 in order to reach conclusive results on a macro-regional scale.
