Project Details
Mechanisms and functions of interhemispheric coupling in behaving mice (D01)
Subject Area
Molecular Biology and Physiology of Neurons and Glial Cells
Term
since 2013
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 227953431
The continuation proposal of the CRC includes a project by Ilan Lampl from the Weizmann Institute in Israel, who has been a CRC member since the first funding period. This group is one of the leading groups worldwide that is using in vivo patch-clamp recordings to understand cortical dynamics and the role of inhibition-excitation balance. The proposed project D01 will address the role of interhemispheric connectivity in integrating bilateral sensory information, and the role of this process in coordinating motor behavior.
