Project Details
In situ characterization of mediator controlled immune cell interaction in GAG-modified aECM (B10)
Subject Area
Biomaterials
Term
from 2013 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 59307082
T. Pompe investigates the ability of GAG in 3D-aECM to modulate the exchange of paracrine signals between fibroblasts (Fb) and macrophages (MA). The exchange of healing-relevant mediators, in particular TGF-β1, IL-10, MCP-1 between both cell types, is crucial for the cell behavior at various stages of dermal wound healing. The tests shall verify that the newly established matrix and co-culture systems are a suitable tool to characterize matrix modulation by paracrine signals.
