Quantitative methods for the analysis of the spatial and temporal dynamic changes of the proteome during host-pathogen interaction (Z02)

Subject Area Medical Microbiology and Mycology, Hygiene, Molecular Infection Biology
Term since 2013
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 210879364

Project Description

Project Z2 provides a proteomic platform to study temporal and spatial changes of the proteome during host-fungal pathogen interaction including 2D-gel-based and quantitative LC-MS/MS-based methods, MALDI-MS imaging (MALDI-MSI) for subcellular localization, serological proteome analyses as well as post-translational modification assays. The portfolio of proteome techniques will include detection of lysine acetylation, ubiquitinylation, and cysteine oxidation, but also targeted proteomics. Z2 will intensify the analysis of clinical samples including MALDI-MSI that will be combined with deep learning.
