Inhibition of ether-phosphatidylserine synthesis and signaling for tumor therapy (B06)

Subject Area Toxicology, Laboratory Medicine
Term since 2013
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 204083920

Project Description

The project asks if acute pharmacological or genetic inhibition of phosphatidylserine synthase 1 suppresses tumor development murine and human models, also in combination with current therapy approaches. Moreover, mechanisms how ether phosphatidylserine (ePS) affects PS externalization will be investigated, and a potential signaling function of lyso-ePS in tumor and immune cells will be tested.
