Dynamic respiratory regulation in plant mitochondria

Subject Area Plant Physiology
Term from 2013 to 2020
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 237658134

Final Report Year 2020

Final Report Abstract

Overall, the Emmy-Noether group funded through this grant made significant progress on the proposed project. In several instances we could go beyond the level of insight that we had been hoping for; in cases where we faced problems we have been able to find pragmatic solutions. We have gained a number of fundamental and exciting new insights into how plant mitochondria work and how they impact on plant cell physiology. In addition, we made several methodological advances on the way. The project has opened up new lines of research that we and others have started following up actively. Further follow up will need to be organized based on separate funding and I am currently preparing two additional funding applications that are directly based on the data from this project.
