Term
from 2013 to 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 237139241
The aim of this project is the development of a well controlled electrostatic field for a nEDM experiment. It contains development of high voltage electrodes based on glass and NiMo coatings. Different insulator ring materials will be investigated by means of electrical and UCN properties. A very stable high voltage supply has to be built and tested. It is also planned to design and built an electrical field measurement in situe using the Pockels effect. All HV equipment will be installed later in the vacuum chamber and tested with all other components of the nEDM apparatus. It is also foreseen, to make extended simulations of the electrical field and compare it to measured values.
