from 2013 to 2017
Project identifier

Subproject B4 investigates the dynamics and characteristics of explorative search dialogues and develops methods to model such search processes. We hereby focus on search dialogues with multiple contexts and multiple users. The developed information behaviour models build the basis to study effects of adaptive interventions. The ultimate goal is to develop robust methods to detect the intention of individual user's and methods to provide context sensitive support such that the users achieve their goals more efficient and more effectively. Since exploratory search tasks can be quite complex and hence may require a group of users for efficient processing, we study in addition methods to support users individually in collaborative retrieval scenarios.
