Project Description

Coagulation-fragmentation equations are fundamental mean-field models to describe mass aggregation phenomena in various applications. In this funding period we will concentrate on the study of the, possibly non-universal, long-time behavior of solutions under non-equilibrium conditions and for multicomponent systems. We will also consider the derivation of coagulation kernels when the aggregating particles have a size comparable to their mean free path.
