The strategic focus of the centre is found within planning, consultation, and conduction of NMR based investigations of engineering problems. The professional competence of the centre comprises especially the following aspects:- Experiment design: the search for an adequate setup to a specific measurement problem with respect to the choice of the NMR experiment and technique as well as the link to material and process relevant parameters.- Pulse sequences: the development of tailor-made NMR methodology for best measurement results.- Hardware: Adaptation and development of novel components for optimal experiment performance.- Software development: data processing and algorithms for the calculation of relevant parameters.An essential aspect of Pro2NMR will also be the education in the form of workshops, meetings, and personal supervision, which will be open to all interested persons, irrespective of their industrial or academic background.
