The research emphasis of subproject A7 is the thermal joining of as-cast TRIP/TWIP steels with particle reinforced composites or Ni-base alloys using a high-energy electron beam (EB). Furthermore, the local short-time EB annealing of cold-rolled TRIP/TWIP material is investigated. In particular, the mutual interaction of the technological parameters for the modulation of the chemical or thermal treatment cycle and the impact on the microstructure and the mechanical properties are studied. Simulations of the penetration of the energy transfer spot/field are accompanying the work on the basis of space-resolved 2D temperature measurements.TP T1
