Triangulation spin-centers with EPR (A06)

Subject Area Analytical Chemistry
Term from 2013 to 2017
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 60803019

Project Description

In the funding period 2017-2020, we aim at reducing the time needed for the trilateration of paramag-netic metal ions (EMIPS) by involving trityl spin labels, orthogonal labeling and MD simulations. The fast EMIPS will be tested on the Fe(III) spin center in CYP101. We will synthesize the needed model systems and evaluate on them, which EPR distance measurement method is best suited to disentangle the distances and how to analyze them. On the application site, we aim at localizing Mn(II) ions in three functional RNAs and to follow Mn(II) induced RNA folding.
