The German Insolvency Code of 1877 was discussed based on an earlier draft (Entwurf einer deutschen Gemeinschuldordnung). The committee changed the draft substantially. There is, however, little information about the proceedings of this committee. It is the aim of this project to supply to make such information publicly accessible by critically editing private protocols written by two members of the committee: Carl Hagens and Franz Schütte.
