Project Details
Controlling cellular function by structured environments: Artificial angioge-nesis (B08)
Subject Area
Cell Biology
Term
from 2012 to 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 201269156
This project aims at understanding the process of angiogenesis by controlling and manipulating endothelial cell behavior on the spatio-temporal level using nanoagents. In the current funding proposal we address the following questions: 1) Are we able to study tip cell differentiation in a time resolved manner? 2) How is collective cell migration influenced by complex parameters (e.g. substrate stiffness, cell-cell contacts)? 3) How do cells and cell collectives respond to nanostructured 3D environments?
