Project Details
Surface designs for the control of cell migration (B01)
Subject Area
Statistical Physics, Nonlinear Dynamics, Complex Systems, Soft and Fluid Matter, Biological Physics
Term
from 2012 to 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 201269156
Project B01 develops micro- and nanostructured arrays, such as two-state patterns, that allow for the investigation of single migrating cells and two-cell interactions in confinement. A major goal is to describe dynamic phenotypes using mechanistic models of intracellular reaction-diffusion dynamics and to connect these to cancer-specific expression of microRNA (miR-200c) and the curvature sensitive myosin motor, myo6.
