Knowledge modeling, interpretation and learning (I01)

Subject Area Image and Language Processing, Computer Graphics and Visualisation, Human Computer Interaction, Ubiquitous and Wearable Computing
Term from 2012 to 2017
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 211469636

Project Description

I01 develops basic functionalities and competencies of CoSA. To enable the usage of knowledge across all projects, we will combine the existing mid-level ontologies to a comprehensive surgical ontology. Based on that, we will develop realtime crossmodal similarity measures and learning methods for event detection. In order to make the interaction between the surgeon and CoSA intuitive and responsive, a natural language dialog system with proactive information provision will be devised.
