Investigation and optimization of the pulsating detonative combustion cycle (A04)

Subject Area Fluid Mechanics
Term from 2012 to 2021
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 200291049

Project Description

The project deals with the behavior of a detonative combustion chamber as an integral part of a gas turbine. The environment of the combustion chamber determines the conditions in the combustion chamber so that it affects the combustion cycle and is finally decisive for its correct operation. This project aims at ensuring the crucial processes of the detonation initiation in the combustion chamber in its interaction with the connected plenum and the turbine inlet.
