A structured PhD program will continue to support young researchers in the CRC. The curriculum comprises our annual international spring schools and a series of theory- as well as methods-focused lectures. In addition, there will be training courses on scientific techniques and key skills necessary for a successful academic career, including management and teaching abilities. An important element will be a dedicated training in good scientific practice (e.g., open science practices, research data management, and research transparency). Special emphasis will be put on measures supporting the academic career of young female scientists and the compatibility of career development and family care for young parents.
