Project Details
Biocommunication: Mechanisms and consequences of information storage and retrieval in plants and microbes (MGK)
Subject Area
Organismic Interactions, Chemical Ecology and Microbiomes of Plant Systems
Term
from 2012 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 190578797
The Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) supplies a structured framework to promote interdisciplinary interaction among early career researchers working in various biological disciplines, and with diverse organisms and stressors, but on a common, highly focused topic, i.e. stress priming and memory. Academic mentors and professional trainers will provide training in scientific and transferable skills for a new generation of scientists to be able to bridge molecular life sciences and (evolutionary) ecology and theory. By various measures, the early career researchers will be enabled to interact, reflect and present their studies across diverse disciplines of life sciences.
