Discrete parametrized surfaces (A02)

Project Description

This project is concerned with various aspects of the discretization of parametrized surfaces. While originally discrete surface theory was strongly tied to discrete integrable systems, in recent years the theory widened to more generic approaches. Still there are many open questions both integrable and non-integrable in type. We plan to investigate discretizations of many classical types of parametrizations. Our list includes in particular geodesic, mean curvature, characteristic conjugate, conformal and orthogonal parametrizations, as well as their special cases.
