Project Details
Dissecting of the function of the “Lymphoid enhancer-binding factor 1” (Lef1) in acute myeloid leukemia (A04)
Subject Area
Hematology, Oncology
Term
from 2012 to 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 217328187
In the last funding periods of this CRC, we described a major role of the “Lymphoid Enhancer-binding Factor 1” (LEF1) in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We now aim at analyzing to which extent LEF1 contributes to the expression of CD19/PAX5 in AML1-ETO positive AML. Furthermore, it will be tested whether expression of LEF1 is involved in impairing necroptosis in AML1-ETO positive AML and whether expression of the stem cell gene PIWIL4 contributes to the development of AML1-ETO/LEF1 induced AML via regulation of R-loops.
