The aim of the project is to obtain the system of ordinary differential equations describing the piezoelastic response of a bi-material structure taking into consideration the following key factors: (a) a transfer crack in a piezoelastic first plate of the structure; (b) an interface delamination and an elastic-brittle debond length; (c) given special boundary conditions. The novelty of the proposed work lies in the fields of theoretical and applied mechanics: (a) a new system of differential equations will be developed for the analysis of the piezoelastic behaviour of the bi-material structure under static and dynamic time harmonic loading; (b) the application to the wind turbine blades with prescribed geometrical and mechanical properties will be done. A parametric analysis of the structure response including geometry, mechanical and electrical characteristics will be done.
