In-line monitoring of microgel production processes (G02+)

Subject Area Chemical and Thermal Process Engineering
Term from 2012 to 2020
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 191948804

Project Description

Based on the successful development of in-line process analytical technology (PAT) for concentration and size of microgels, this project now integrates the developed PAT into a continuous reaction platform for enhanced quality control and automated reaction research of the synthesis process. The setup enables automated determination of reaction parameters in combination with the mechanistic models developed in SFB and optimization of reaction conditions between yield and quality. The setup will support fundamental research in SFB but also envisions a facile transfer of complex microgel reactions for industrial application.
