The project part A2 deals with the conceptual design on F-system level. The meaningful functional combination of RF MEMS components with the design and subsequent implementation of integrated microelectronic circuits in CMOS technology is the main challenge of the project.Based on the results of phase 1 parameterized behavioral models of MEMS devices have to be embedded, integrated and refined in the design and simulation environment (Cadence Virtuoso). The following implementation and sizing of MEMS structural and functional blocks has to be adapted regarding signal level, impedance levels and frequency responses. In Phase 2 of the project these aspects will be of very high importance, since not only individual blocks but a complete transceiver system will be designed and implemented. Thus, the modeling and design based consideration of couplings and parasitic effects comes into picture.
