Goal of the present research project is to reach a better control of quarkonium production processes at high energy colliders by using effective field theory methods, lower energy factorizations, developing new tools for automatic calculation of perturbative matching coefficients, devising novel methods for the numerical computations of low energy nonperturbative matrix elements and correlators, once that an appropriate calculational scheme has been obtained. The same technology will be applied to the study of Higgs decay to quarkonium at LHC that can serve as a tool of investigation for the Higgs coupling to heavy quarks.
