In the 2nd FP investigates to which extent product and process models can be combined, parametrised and quantified for fostering integration of sustainability targets into the early phases of product creation. Case studies will be conducted for bottom-up development of a comprehensive modelling notation. On that basis a methodology for developing and applying the model will be built under consideration of industry requirements. The Design Decision Support Assistant from the 1st FP will be extended with a modelling environment for utilisation of causalities between product characteristics and sustainability targets for decision support.
