Project Description

In this subproject, we investigate the economic dimension of the OTF market. Adopting a primarily game-theoretic approach, we focus on the organization of the interaction among market participants. One of the specific characteristics of the OTF market structure is that a market intermediary, the OTF provider, composes complex services from simpler elementary services. As a result, incomplete information, e.g. on service quality, represents a further characteristic of the OTF market. In the third funding period, we concentrate our activities on the regulation of competition, to ensure a frictionless functioning of the OTF market wherever possible.
