Project Description

This project aims to survey the findings about language and movement interactions investigated with healthy subjects in the first two phases - now with two clinical subject groups suffering from movement disorders: patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease (PD), a neurodegenerative movement disorder and patients diagnosed with Gilles de la Tourette’s Syndrome (TS), a neurodevelopmental movement disorder. Patients and matched control persons will be investigated with magnetoencephalography and behavioral experiments in order to find out how the language-movement interaction in these patients is possibly modulated due to motor system disease.
