Project Description

The project is concerned with the probabilistic and numerical analysis of some basic models of continuum percolation. One focus is on the relationship between global percolation properties and (locally evaluated) Minkowski functionals. Of particular interest is the behavior of these functionals at the critical threshold. Other topics are the analysis of the distribution of the cluster sizes in both sub- and supercritical models and geometric scaling properties of large clusters.
