The Berliner Repertorium makes accessible the Middle High German and Middle Low German translations of Latin hymns, sequences and antiphones by means of an open access online database. It provides descriptions of the Latin originals, German translations, textual witnesses and manuscripts as well as detailed bibliographies and links to the relevant works of reference. It also provides digital reproductions of the relevant manuscripts. The Berliner Repertorium offers a basis for research in various medieval disciplines, such as literary studies, linguistics, art history, musicology, theology and translation studies. The project will make available more than 5,500 German texts belonging to around 400 Latin hymns, sequences and antiphones, most of them for the first time.
