Project Details
Analysis of redox effects on nuclear ROXY interactions with transcription factors (P13)
Subject Area
Plant Physiology
Term
from 2011 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 180879236
Project P13 concentrates on the organization of redox-regulated transcription complexes in a nuclear microcompartment. The group showed that the biochemical ROXY activities have been highly conserved throughout land plant evolution, including their redox-dependent DNA-binding and redox-regulation of transcription processes within a nuclear microcompartment. Within the next funding period, the group will (i) analyze the role of the redox environment on the nuclear ROXY/TGA localization and function, (ii) identify further interaction partners of ROXY and TGA transcription factors, and (iii) analyze the function of the peroxidase activities on meristem development and cell proliferation of Marchantia polymorpha.
