Project Details
Cooperative Routing Problems under a Rolling Horizon Framework
Subject Area
Accounting and Finance
Term
from 2010 to 2016
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 191418526
This project continues research on the problem of collaboration profit maximization and allocation among coalition partners in collaborative routing problems under a rolling horizon framework. The development of exchange mechanisms for transportation request allocation, computation of cost allocation and development of efficient solution procedures for arising optimization problems should be continued and completed. Furthermore the second phase of the project focuses on the study of problem extensions that were identified in the first project stage and arise from real world situations. These extensions deal with the issues of subcontracting transportation requests, evaluation of requests avail for future planning activities and the so called customer protection, in case that certain transportation requests are not allowed to be exchanged or subcontracted; i.e. they have to be fulfilled by the contractor himself. The modeling of these problem extensions will be accomplished, so that the developed solution procedures for decentralized vehicle routing and scheduling and for the resulting allocation problems can be applied in this case.
