The active high-lift system is supplied with the required air through electrically-powered compressors integrated into the wings near the Coanda flaps. An interdisciplinary design methodology for such systems has already been developed and validated in project B4. The current project objectives further employ numerical and experimental approaches to explore the aeromechanical system design sensitivity regarding acoustic requirements. The extension of the design methodology will allow future design processes of electrically powered high-lift systems to take into account electromagnetic, fluid mechanical, structural mechanical, thermal and acoustical aspects.
