Origin and prediction of cabin noise due to structure-borne sound (A06)

Subject Area Acoustics
Term from 2011 to 2019
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 133733460

Project Description

The project aims for a comprehensive numerical prognosis and assessment of cabin noise, accounting for relevant uncertainties. Hence, realistic aero- and vibroacoustical loads and relevant transfer paths for structure borne sound are considered, especially those originating from the active high-lift system. Furthermore, the noise emitted by the fully installed aircraft engine under asymmetric inflow conditions during landing is considered. Validated loads as input for the numerical prognosis are obtained from vibroacoustical measurements on realistic aircraft parts and from the active high-lift system experiment in the wind tunnel NWB.
