Ultrafast Molecular Dynamics in Metal Complexes (C04)

Subject Area Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term from 2011 to 2022
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 142808194

Project Description

This 3MET project employs femtosecond time-resolved laser spectroscopies such as transient absorption in the UV/Vis, NIR, mid-IR, transient reflectivity, transient photofragmentation, and time resolved anisotropy. It investigates condensed and gas phase dynamics of ligand stabilized transition metal complexes. It fo-cusses on the influence of intermetallic cooperativity on photophysical and -chemical elementary processes. Together with inorganic synthesis and quantum-chemical calculations the employed techniques allow for systematic investigations, ranging from the isolated and the solvated system to the application-relevant solid state matrix.
