Simulation of manufacture of open-porous solids (A06)

Typical characteristics in the formation process of morphologies on mesoscopic scales are the emergence of irregular phase boundaries and their changes over time. For this purpose, we develop a software package, which uses the SPH method to model all relevant physical and chemical processes. During the third funding period we want to gear our work towards two different industrial applications. To achieve this, the existing code base will be expanded in order to treat more of the relevant physical phenomena, and it will be tuned towards higher computational efficiency.
