Stability and plasticity of activity and specificity maps in early visual cortex (A02)

Subject Area Cognitive, Systems and Behavioural Neurobiology
Term from 2010 to 2022
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 122679504

Project Description

We have demonstrated how systematic modulation of the cortical state can be used in combination with changes in input statistics (visual “training”) to trigger targeted reorganisation of visual cortical maps. Next we shall explore how such induced plastic changes are established through cortical integration processes in the context of behaviour. We will use wide-field voltage- and Ca2+ imaging in transgenic mouse models to capture intra- and cross-areal interactions with high spatiotemporal resolution.
