We plan to investigate model theoretic ampleness and modularity in groups and geometries. We propose to construct examples of ample building-like geometries of finite Morley rank and of sharply 2-transitive groups in positive characteristic not arising from fields. We further plan to study minimal representation dimension and approximate geometries via group actions on buildings.
