Central facility for high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics (Z01)

Subject Area Medical Microbiology and Mycology, Hygiene, Molecular Infection Biology
Term from 2010 to 2022
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 158989968

Project Description

Project Z1 is the central hub for the generation and analysis of high throughput sequencing data for CRC 900, using different sequencing technologies and a large array of bioinformatic tools. Whole genome analysis of bacteria, viruses as well as targeted transcriptome, ChIP-Seq and B-cell/T-cell receptor repertoire studies will be part of the CRC application. The Z1 team will advise the CRC members in the planning and execution of experiments involving next generation sequencing, will help to select the scientifically most appropriate and cost-effective sequencing approach and will support all bioinformatic issues.
