Project Details
Decoupled Graphene Monolayers: Electrical Transport and Shot Noise
Applicant
Professor Dr. Rolf J. Haug
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
from 2010 to 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 172378647
The project focuses on the preparation and characterization of graphene nanostructures consisting of two decoupled monolayers. Magnetotransport measurements for currents flowing parallel and perpendicular to the layers allow to investigate the electronic properties of the structures. Measurements for single layers and bilayers are performed for comparison. Phase-coherent transport is investigated in Aharanov-Bohm ring geometries. The transport experiments will be complemented by shot noise measurements.
