Kinetics of reductive amination and hydroaminomethylation in reactive multiphase fluid systems (A03)

Subject Area Chemical and Thermal Process Engineering
Term from 2010 to 2021
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 56091768

Project Description

The focus of the project is the experimental and theoretical studies on the mechanism and kinetics of the reductive amination of long-chain aldehydes and hydroaminomethylation. The aim is to systemati-cally elucidate the reaction networks and catalytic cycles, to derive and reduce kinetic models and to determine the model parameters with great precision. This provides the basis for the design of reac-tors and processes. In addition, general rules for the evaluation of tandem reactions (multi-pot vs. single-pot synthesis) are developed.
